Whether this year isn’t anything like you expected or it’s turning out exactly as planned, I’m glad you’re still here. While I feel like I’ve accomplished a lot over the last few weeks, I also feel like I’ve accomplished nothing? It’s a weird feeling, but I’m going to keep moving forward. As you may know, my boyfriend and I do a weekly check-in with each other to make sure we are on track to accomplish our goals and making sure our weeks are going the way we want them to. The other week, I realized one of my goals had completely changed — so, we pivoted my weekly tracker to reflect those changes. Just your gentle reminder that goals are great to have, but it’s also okay if they change! Being adaptable is arguably the most important characteristic to have in life. Anyways, let’s get started! 2021 Intention Develop a healthy relationship with my mind, body, and soul. Update: Honestly, this is a hard one. I’ve had a dysfunctional relationship with my body for a very long time, so I knew this would take more than just six months to master. I’m trying to feed myself physically, mentally, and emotionally on a daily basis. I journal every day. I try to move my body in some way or fashion whether that’s just a walk or some yoga. And I try to eat healthy, nourishing foods. This is definitely a journey, but I’m glad I’m embarking on it. 2021 Goals one | further my industry knowledge bi-weekly through educational courses, trainings, or certifications There are lots of trainings, courses, and educational opportunities I have in my saved folders that I’m going to make it a priority to get to this year. I love learning, and in my industry, it’s so important to stay up-to-date on all the new information available. Update: While I haven’t been able to tackle courses bi-weekly, I’ve still managed to complete almost all of Julie Soloman’s courses — which is a huge step for me. Next, I’m going to try to tackle either my Google Analytics certification or some other certifications that could help me in my field. two | outline my book idea(s) I’ve always wanted to write a book. It’s been a goal of mine for the past two years to write that book, and I’ve never made any head-way. In 2021, I plan to outline my book idea(s) and finally make some progress on this life-long goal. Update: Unfortunately, I have made zero progress on this life goal — and that’s okay. There are six months left in the year, and I know I can make some progress on these outlines in the coming months. I can’t wait to see what I come up with. three | remain heavily involved in my non-profit work and investigate new opportunities Done and done. I haven’t found a new literacy organization to be a part of yet, but I was elected to a new board position with one of my non-profits and I’ve secured some awards and media coverage for another non-profit, and I’m really proud of the work I am accomplishing. Update:I currently serve on two non-profit boards, and I hope to maintain that involvement throughout the year. I also want to find a local literacy foundation to start working with that I can remain involved in in the years to come. four | distribute a regular newsletter to my blog readers I used to send a weekly newsletter, and I want to start that up again. I need to brainstorm some more ideas on how I’d like to see it designed and what information I’d like to include, but I’m planning to start distributing again in February. Update: I am happy to report that I am back up and running with my newsletter! I’ve changed to a monthly format that talks about three upcoming book releases for the month as well as my top three blog posts over the last month. I might add to it as I get more comfortable with the format, but so far I’m really loving it as a way to connect with my readers. You can sign up for my newsletter today! five | develop a consistent, sustainable workout routine If you’re a regular reader, you know I had a pretty good workout routine down prior to October of 2020 when I had a slew of health issues pop-up. I’ve been back on the grind for two weeks now and feeling better than ever. I hope to keep it up in the months to come since working out always makes me feel at my best. Update: Unfortunately, it’s been really hard to get back into working out. Things have been crazy busy at work and with life, and I’ve been participating in a little bit of “revenge bedtime procrastination” lately which means I’m staying up much too late to wake up at 5 a.m. for a workout. I’ll hit it hard one week, and then completely fall off the wagon the next. I’m hoping to be more consistent in the latter half of 2021. six | cook at home more regularly I started this habit in 2020, and I’m keeping it around for 2021. I invested in a meal kit delivery system at the end of 2020, and I really love it. It makes cooking so much easier. As someone who never knows what to cook, it’s really nice to have it show up at my door 80 percent ready for me to make. Update: Check that box! I cook at home about three days a week, and I’ve even been meal prepping my lunches since going back in the office. Cooking at home makes it so much easier to stay healthy and mindful of what I’m putting in my body. seven | travel to two new cities (if safe) If it’s safe with the pandemic, I’m hoping to travel to two new-to-me cities this year. I haven’t gotten to explore half of the United States, and I’m itching to see some new cities. I haven’t wanted to travel to any cities in 2020 because of COVID, but hopefully, 2021 is a little better for travel. Update: I scratched one city off the list, and I’ll be scratching another one off in September! My boyfriend and I took an amazing trip to Atlanta at the end of April where we went to the Coca-Cola Museum and Georgia Aquarium, and we’ll be visiting Chattanooga for a friend’s wedding in September that we are turning into a bit of a longer trip for me to see the sights. eight | learn how to crochet I tried to pick up crocheting during quarantine, but I picked it up a little too late. I’m planning to dedicate one night a week to crocheting to truly learn the art. Update: While I haven’t been crocheting as consistently as I’d like, I did learn a thing or two over the last few months. I’ll keep picking up my hooks and learning as the year progresses. I’m hoping to finish as least one pot holder project. nine | read 75 books I read 71 books in 2020, and I am determined to keep up that reading pace. I created a thorough 2021 TBR List (post coming next week), and I have piles at the ready no matter where I am (seriously). I can’t wait to see what new favorites come out of this year. Update: I am so proud of myself because I am on pace to reach my reading goal this year. Wahoo! ten | plan intentional time with my friends and partner If 2020 taught us one thing, it’s that friends and family are some of the only things that make life worth living. Both my boyfriend and I want to be more intentional in our dates — I want to do one new date activity a month together, and he wants to go on one extravagant (for us) date a quarter. I want to carry over this intentionality to my friend groups by taking dedicated time for girl’s nights and get-togethers. Update: I’d say I’m so-so on this goal. I’ve managed to cross it off the list every month, but it isn’t always due to my planning. I’d say about half of my friend time and date time is because I took initiative in planning it and half of it is because something was already on the calendar, but honestly, I’ve had such good, quality friend-time these last few months, I’m simply grateful for it no matter how it came about. Happy adventuring, Kimberly

June Goals & A May Update | 2021 https://aspoonfulofhoni.com/june-goals-a-may-update-2021/ https://aspoonfulofhoni.com/june-goals-a-may-update-2021/#respond Wed, 02 Jun 2021 13:00:28 +0000 http://aspoonfulofhoni.com/?p=10502 We are almost halfway through the year which means it’s time to reestablish some of our goals! My boyfriend and I had our six-month check-in this weekend to reassess some of our annual goals, and it was a nice little reset to make sure we are going into the next six months of the year with fresh eyes and accurate goals. May was a pretty good month for me, and I’m excited to see what June holds. Let’s get started! May 2021 Goals one | take a day, and do nothing Mission accomplished, but not without the help of my boyfriend. He reminded me that sometimes we need to take time off to be our best selves, so that’s exactly what we did the last weekend of May. I read a book all day on Saturday, and we had a fun night making pizza and play board games. I’m going to make sure we keep doing things like that moving forward. two | buy fresh flowers for my apartment Done! I didn’t make it to the adorable flower shop, but I did pick up a fresh bouquet from Trader Joe’s, and that’s just as good, right? three | read six books The only book I didn’t finish in May was Legendborn (and I finished in the first few days of June). I read seven books in all! Read all about them in my May reading wrap up. four | get back to reading the Bible Unfortunately, I didn’t start reading the Bible again, but I did get to an in-person church service which was really nice! Hopefully, I’ll start reading the Bible again in June. June 2021 Goals one | read six books The TBR this month? Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo, No Exit by Taylor Adams, Kingdom of Flesh and Fire by Jennifer L. Armentrout, Set Boundaries, Find Peace by Nedra Glover Tawwab, and two random books of my choice. two | take a hike The weather has been truly beautiful in Nashville, and I’d love to check out a new hike sometime this month. Nothing crazy, but a fun waterfall might be nice. three | run three times a week I’ve been attempting to train for a 5K since college, and it is finally time I do this thing! I have no excuses other than wanting to sleep in a little more in the mornings, so I’m committing myself to running at least three times a week whether that’s in the morning, the evening, or my lunch break, I’m going to make it happen. four | go thrift shopping I love a good jean jacket, and I’d love to thrift a few and decorate them with patches and distressing. Definitely making this an action item for June. Happy adventuring, Kimberly

It’s Been Four Years… https://aspoonfulofhoni.com/its-been-four-years/ https://aspoonfulofhoni.com/its-been-four-years/#respond Wed, 19 May 2021 13:00:22 +0000 http://aspoonfulofhoni.com/?p=10508 It’s been four years since I walked across the Elon University graduation stage. Four years that honestly flew by faster than I ever could have anticipated. I wanted to do a little bit of a reflection post to share what I learned in this time and how the real world isn’t all that scary. Let’s get started! What I’ve learned since graduating is… one | the world is so much bigger than you think it is If you let it, the world will show you exactly where you need to be, and you will experience so much more than you ever imagined. When I graduated, I couldn’t image life outside my group of friends — outside of my college’s campus. I moved away, and I missed everything about it. Four years later, and I still miss my friends, but I also have so much life happening around me that it’s a treat when I get to see them rather that an activity I’m actively counting down to. When I finally opened myself up to life in Nashville, I finally stopped missing what was behind me. I’ve experienced so much more than I ever would have if I hadn’t let go of the past and started looking forward. two | you can do hard things Unfortunately, life doesn’t get any easier. I faced a lot of hard things before graduating college, and I’ve continued to face hard things as life continued to happen. If you’re going through something hard, I promise, you’re going to make it through. three | self-love is an ongoing act I know a lot of think we can just figure out how to love ourselves and life is going to be great, but I’ve got news for you. Self-love never stops. You never stop having to fight to love yourself and accept yourself (or maybe YOU do, but I don’t). I love myself, don’t get me wrong, but sometimes, I have to remind myself more than others. Sometimes I have a bad day, and I have to practice compassion with myself. You’re the only you there is, so love yourself endlessly — even if you have to fight for it. four | no one cares about who were in college (or high school) This might be a tough one to swallow, and it might come across as a little harsh, but it’s true. The sooner you can start quantifying your accomplishments post-college, the more impressive you will be to your peers and hiring managers (if that’s something you care about, if it’s not, you do you!). Whether that means starting a side-hustle or getting involved in non-profit work, go out and do! Don’t forget to quantify your goals — anything you can put a hard number to is going to do wonders. five | it’s okay not to be living your dream life Believe it or not, most of us aren’t. Most of us, especially right out of college, are not making enough money to be living in our dream apartments or traveling the world. Most of us are just figuring it out day-by-day, and that’s okay. Something that really helped me when I was in a place I wasn’t happy about was reminding myself that if I started out with the dream, where was I going to be able to go in the next five years? If I start out with the dream job at 22, it’s not going to be the dream job by the time I’m 30 (most likely). If I start out with the dream apartment, what am I going to hope, wish, and work for over the next few years? You’ll always want more, so it’s okay to start out somewhere different than you imagined. Never lose hope, and always work for what you want. Happy adventuring, Kimberly

One Year Later https://aspoonfulofhoni.com/one-year-later/ https://aspoonfulofhoni.com/one-year-later/#respond Tue, 16 Mar 2021 13:00:31 +0000 http://aspoonfulofhoni.com/?p=10320 It’s officially one year since I started working from home. One year since I thought, “Life will be back to normal in two weeks. How much can change in two weeks?” Oh, how little I knew. My world was about to be rocked. This past year has changed a lot for a people. Some people found out how important going out to eat was to their social life. Some people found out how much they really value their family. And me? Well. I found out a lot. Let’s get started! one | i kind of, almost like coffee now When the pandemic started, I was a strict vanilla almond milk latte gal. Now? I drink iced coffee with creamer. This may not seem like a big deal to anyone that’s been drinking black coffee since they were sixteen, but this is HUGE for me. And I like it. I like trying new coffee drinks when I go out, I like being able to have a coffee routine. It’s such a lovely little realization that I’ve come to love coffee over these last 365 days in my own home. two | better at setting boundaries I’m the biggest introvert there is, but I also have massive FOMO. You can see my conundrum. I hate saying no to things because I’m always terrified of being left out or not being someone’s friend. Or, should I say, used to. Because of this forced downtime and a new relationship all throughout last year, I’ve really learned to value my time with the people that matter to me most. I’m much better at saying “no” or scheduling things when they work best for me rather than just immediately saying yes to things, especially things I don’t even want to say yes to. three | skincare My skincare routine has quite literally never been better. I even use sunscreen everyday. You know those things you think are just tricks to make you spend more money actually really do help! (I’m talking about flossing and wearing sunscreen.) My skin has never been healthier, and I’ve never been happier with it. My favorite products are my Curology daily skincare, my Kiehl’s dark spot corrector, and my Tula sunscreen. four | intentionality I always knew I needed to be intentional, but the pandemic really hammered home how intentionality completely changes my day. One of the biggest reasons I have this blog is because it helps me stay accountable to my reading goals since I intentional set them and share them with you all. My boyfriend and I started doing weekly check-ins every Sunday to determine what we did well the week before and what we could do better going into the next week, and I swear it has changed the game for me. I’m not perfect, but I’m definitely hitting goals more clearly now. five | i like to get ready Aside from my boyfriend and my roommate, I do not see people on a daily basis anymore, and I still put makeup on everyday. Putting makeup on makes me feel good. I even try to put together outfits that don’t involve sweatpants — who is she? I get ready for me. If you don’t like getting ready, that’s okay, too. But I can’t start the day without putting on a little makeup and something that makes me feel like my best self. six | we all need somebody I’m so lucky to have had a roommate, a boyfriend, and a mom only a phone call away during this pandemic. Some of my friends really struggled with living alone, not having a significant other, and not feeling close to their family, and having someone, just one someone, is so important. So many groups banded together during this time and created weekly Dungeon and Dragon virtual meetups or writing groups that met virtually or virtual game nights. It just proves that even when you can’t physically see someone, you can still feel connected. Happy adventuring, Kimberly

Things I Have For My Cat That Just Make Sense https://aspoonfulofhoni.com/things-i-have-for-my-cat-that-just-make-sense/ https://aspoonfulofhoni.com/things-i-have-for-my-cat-that-just-make-sense/#respond Tue, 26 Jan 2021 14:00:04 +0000 http://aspoonfulofhoni.com/?p=9978 I’m bringing you a little bit of a different post today. I wanted to talk about all the things I have for Maggie, my cat, that make life just a little bit easier. If you don’t know, I have a cat. She’s about 2 years old, and I’ve had her for a little over a year. She’s the most amazing thing that’s ever happened to me, and I love her with my whole heart. For starters, my cat loves to play fetch, so even though I waste all my money on toys for her, her favorite toy is hair ties she steals from my bathroom counter. I also have two scratching posts for the apartment to keep her claws nice and sharp. Let’s get started! one | a cat tree This was the first gift I ever bought Maggie, and she loves her little home. I added a sherpa jacket that my roommate destroyed in the wash, and she can sleep there all night. Her’s also has a mouse that hangs from the top level she can bat around, and it doubles as a scratching post! Win, win, win! two | hunting mice After seeing these all over Tik Tok and hearing from my brother that his cat liked them, I bit the bullet and bought some of these for Maggie. For the first few weeks, I used them exclusively to feed her, but now I use them to give her treats. It’s a great way to keep her occupied. These are perfect for kitties that need a little more mental stimulation or need to slow down when they eat. three | a favorite blanket Like most cats, Maggie loves to lay on blankets. She has a favorite one of course, and when I leave her overnight to stay at my boyfriend’s, I leave the blanket out for her so she can cuddle in her favorite spot. It makes me feel better about leaving her, and I hope it makes her feel a little better during a night alone. (I’m aware she probably doesn’t really care.) four | two litter boxes When I first got Maggie, she pooped under my bed every day. I had no idea why she was doing it because she would pee in the litter box, just not poop. It wasn’t until I got her a hooded litter box that she finally stopped leaving little presents under the bed. Now, I have two litter boxes just for her. Cats love their litter boxes to be clean, so it’s nice for her to have a backup space to do her business in case I’m a little lazy that week. five | a cozy carrier Pro tip: Leave you cat’s carrier out all the time. Maggie absolutely loves to just sit in her carrier throughout the day. I never have a problem getting her in it because she’s so used to it. Her’s has a specially padded flooring, and I think it’s probably a cozy place for her to take some naps. But never forget! The most important toys you buy for your cats are the leftover wrappers and boxes from gifts you’ve bought yourself. Happy adventuring, Kimberly

Catching My Eye | 01.08.21 https://aspoonfulofhoni.com/catching-my-eye-01-08-21/ https://aspoonfulofhoni.com/catching-my-eye-01-08-21/#respond Fri, 08 Jan 2021 14:00:51 +0000 http://aspoonfulofhoni.com/?p=9948 How’s everyone doing? There’s no denying that this was a tough week. I am once again saddened to my core about the current events in this nation. I can’t put into words what I am feeling, though words should be the one thing I have. I want to give everyone a giant group hug right now. I hope everyone can take a moment this weekend to hug their loved ones a little tighter and decompress from this sad event. Let’s get into what’s been catching my eye this week… one | a breakdown of what happened at the capitol on Wednesday… If you somehow missed the news, here’s what happened at the Capitol on Wednesday after a pro-Trump rally. It’s viscerally upsetting, so please, proceed with caution. two | this magic cookie recipe creator… Is anyone’s 2021 resolution to make the perfect cookie? Do you want to forget about the madness for just 45 minutes? Then, you have to check out this magic cookie recipe creator. three | headbands… I’m late to the game, but headbands are definitely my favorite trend of 2020, and I hope they stick around in 2021. I just bought this one from Target because I’ve been wearing my J.Crew one every day this week. four | some anticipated books of 2021… When we can’t handle the present day, what do we do? We escape into books! Here are a few interesting books to take note of coming out in 2021. five | this educational anti-racist read that a lot of people apparently still need to pick up… I read Layla F. Saad’s Me and White Supremacy in September, and it opened my mind to so many racist thoughts, actions and microaggressions we partake in as a community and as individuals toward Black people and People of Color. Saad’s book is part educational read, part workbook. Every section has reflection questions to help you dig into the ways you think and act that are racist. I learned so much from this book, and after recent events, I think some people have some reading to do. Happy adventuring, Kimberly

2021 Intention & Goals https://aspoonfulofhoni.com/2021-goals-resolutions/ https://aspoonfulofhoni.com/2021-goals-resolutions/#respond Wed, 06 Jan 2021 14:00:28 +0000 http://aspoonfulofhoni.com/?p=9968 I know it’s cheesy, but I love a new year. I love turning to a blank page in a notebook. I love setting goals and benchmarks. I love feeling like it’s a fresh start. My boyfriend and I actually set goals together this year (this was great for us individually as well as a couple, in my opinion), and we plan to hold one another accountable to achieving our dreams. We are both very driven and want to accomplish a lot in our lives, so having a built-in accountability buddy is very helpful. I’ve listed out ten goals below (it’s a lot, I know), but some are one-and-done, some are life-long routines that I need to implement, and some are long-term to be accomplished steadily throughout the year. Let’s get started! 2021 Intention Develop a healthy relationship with my mind, body, and soul. 2021 Goals one | further my industry knowledge bi-weekly through educational courses, trainings, or certifications There are lots of trainings, courses, and educational opportunities I have in my saved folders that I’m going to make it a priority to get to this year. Catching My Eye | 01.01.21 https://aspoonfulofhoni.com/catching-my-eye-01-01-21/ https://aspoonfulofhoni.com/catching-my-eye-01-01-21/#respond Fri, 01 Jan 2021 14:00:49 +0000 http://aspoonfulofhoni.com/?p=9634 Happy 2021! How good does that feel to say? I had a very low-key New Year’s Eve cuddled up on the couch at home with my boyfriend watching Star Wars, but I made the amazing charcuterie/snack-plate below that we munched on all night long. I’m looking forward to 2021. I know it’s not going to be all that different from 2020 if we are being honest in terms of the pandemic, but it still feels like an amazing fresh start. I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful holiday and is looking forward to a new year! Let’s get into what’s been catching my eye this week! one | tips on how to read classics better… I know this is the wrong thing to say, but I really want to read more classics. I loved listening to Jane Eyre this year, and I think that’s how I am going to continue reading classics in the future. If you need some tips, check out these tips from one of my favorite book bloggers. two | a DIY beaded bracelet kit… I adore my Little Words Project bracelet, and I thought it would be so fun to make my own. I love this DIY kit from Etsy. This would be such a fun girls’ night activity or mother-daughter present. three | a new way to organize… I was cleaning out my room this past week, and I noticed, of course, that the jewelry I had sitting out was a lot more shabby looking than anything that was covered. I invested in a new jewelry organizer that is covered, and I can’t wait to transfer all my pieces to it safely. four | books that gave hope in 2020… 2020 was quite the year. It felt like a year where the world was collectively grieving, and for those of us in Nashville, I know we felt an extreme amount of sadness during not only the tornado early in the year but the Christmas morning bombing. I love this list of book recommendations from other authors that gave them hope. five | exploring Christianity through a book… I started reading Mere Christianity a little over a week ago, and I am loving the journey it is taking me on. It’s a compilation of the radio talks Lewis Carroll gave during World War II about Christianity in book form. My eyes have been opened to so much already, and I’m less than halfway through. Catching My Eye | 12.18.20 https://aspoonfulofhoni.com/catching-my-eye-12-18-20/ https://aspoonfulofhoni.com/catching-my-eye-12-18-20/#respond Fri, 18 Dec 2020 14:00:37 +0000 http://aspoonfulofhoni.com/?p=9630 Happy Friday! I’m taking next week off of blogging to enjoy time at home for the first time in over a year. Earlier this week, I was really stressing out about flying — it’s not a thing I like on a good day much less in the middle of a pandemic — and it made me think about the fact that everyone is just doing their best right now. There is so much shame online right now if you do anything other than stay at home, and I think we as a society need to be a little less judgemental. For the most part, we are all doing our best, so let’s respect that. Time to get off my high horse. Let’s get into what’s been catching my eye this week! one | how best to donate your unwanted items… It’s that time of year again when we all clean out our closest and get rid of the junk that’s piled up. Before you throw everything in the trash, consider what you can donate to those in need! two | best book covers of 2020… I know we aren’t supposed to judge a book by its cover, but I think we all do anyways. I loved looking at this collection of the best book covers this past year. three | this Harry Potter themed merch… I know a lot of us are looking for non-official Harry Potter merch, and I’m always trying to support small businesses. Seeker and Slade had really unique, chic designs that any Harry Potter fan will fall in love with. four | this think-piece about why we are less engaged with Instagram this year… Do you find yourself sharing less on Instagram because you’re worried about being judged? Don’t worry, you’re not alone. I found this think-piece really interesting as it dives into the intricacies between pandemic-shame, activist-shame, and just being bored of sharing our lives online. five | this book from a famous New York chef… David Chang opened a noodle restaurant in New York back in 2004, and nothing in his life was ever the same. Eat a Peach chronicles Chang’s life from the opening of Momofuku in 2004 to running his restaurant empire with 15 locations spanning the globe. This story is a heart-felt, culinary coming-of-age that anyone can enjoy. Happy adventuring, Kimberly

Underrated Last Minute Gift Ideas https://aspoonfulofhoni.com/underrated-last-minute-gift-ideas/ https://aspoonfulofhoni.com/underrated-last-minute-gift-ideas/#respond Wed, 16 Dec 2020 14:00:07 +0000 http://aspoonfulofhoni.com/?p=9660 Was it just me or was shopping for Christmas presents was harder than usual this year? I couldn’t think of any good, creative ideas. I’ve almost got everyone covered on my list at this point, but if you’ve got some last-minute shopping to do, check out my ideas. Let’s get started! one | socks This is only a good idea for those 18+ because kids will feel gypped, but I haven’t met a single adult who doesn’t love a good pair of socks for the holidays. two | a playlist I know we aren’t burning CDs anymore for our friends and family, but I still think a well-curated playlist for the special people in your life are some of the sweetest, most thoughtful gifts. three | your favorite marked-up book Maybe this is just something I’d love, but what’s better than gifting your favorite copy of a book that you’ve already annotated for someone. Not only do they get a good story, but they get a peek inside your head. four | homemade cookies Make sure you wash your hands, but nothing beats homemade cookies. Bonus points for making their favorite flavor! five | a Polaroid camera If you have a friend that is always snapping pictures on their phone, an old-school Polaroid camera would be perfect for them. six | a collection of candles Spend an hour sniffing all the candles in TJ Maxx and pick out your favorites to gift to someone. One candle is lame, three candles is a jackpot! (I promise you can smell through your mask.) seven | hair accessories Scrunchies, barrettes, and headbands galore! All of the hair accessories are trending now, and they make the perfect stocking stuffer. eight | a Book of the Month subscription Every book lover in your life would love a book subscription. Curated selections sent right to their door? Sign them up! nine | a cheese board We are all loving the adult Lunchable, so help them make their dream a reality with a nice cheese board they can use when parties are back in fashion. ten | a framed photo In the age of social media, what’s better than a printed photo to decorate someone’s home? Add a nice frame, and you’re good to go. eleven | a self-care package Compile all their favorite “night-in” goodies from face masks to nail polish to chocolate to make the ultimate self-care package. twelve | make-your-own package This could go in so many directions! You could give them all the ingredients to make a tasty treat (cookies or hot chocolate) or you could give them all the tools and components to make homemade crafts (like jewelry or start their own scrapbook)! thirteen | a journal 2020 helped us all focus on the little things. If you know anyone that’s trying to focus more on “the moment” in 2021, a cute journal and pen set is the perfect gift. fourteen | a plant I kill everything I touch, but my sister-in-law gave me a succulent one year for Christmas, and it was my favorite gift until I killed it. Succulents or a plant-your-own-garden starter kit would make perfect gifts. fifteen | a blanket Weighted, knitted, or just plain fuzzy, everyone is sure to love a cozy gift as we all prepare to snuggle down for the winter months. Happy gifting, Kimberly
